Viola and Violin Lessons
We accept violin students form the age of 5. Some teachers will start children as young as 3, but experience has shown us the most productive learning occurs when the beginner is 5 or older. Viola students are accepted at 9 to 10 years of age.
Violin and Viola private lessons are individually tailored to meet each student's need and level of experience. We currently offer instruction for both Violin and Viola.

Monthly Fees (2007-2008):
4 private lessons/Viola or Violin/ 1/2 hour per week................$ 80.00
4 private lessons/Viola or Violin/ 1 full hour per week.............$ 160.00
Our violin/viola instructors are also university trained instructors. Instructors perform regularly with university ensembles and have years of experience in molding future performers. Reading music is a must when learning these instruments and we start from the beginning. Instrument care and tuning of the instrument are skills that all string players must possess. We will also teach proper technique in bowing and fingering. All of these aspects play a huge part in the development of a string player. Typically the style of music will be classical, but we are always open to teaching repertoire outside of the norm.
